January always sees an influx of fitness related activities,
and in Mount Dora they have a whole day dedicated to healthy living. From 10 am
to 4 pm on Saturday, January 30th, Wallace Fitness will host a free Health
and Fitness Expo which includes vendors, seminars, food trucks, and fitness
demonstrations including tai chi, yoga, Zumba, and strength training.

For three years now, the Renniger’s Steampunk and Industrial
show has taken over Mount Dora for two days in January and October. For fans of
anything fantasy and hard core industrial, it will be a dream come true; with a
list of entertainment including three bands, magician, belly dancers, and a
theatrical troupe, along with tables lined with Victorian art, jewelry,
antiques, clothing, and more.

Lakeridge Winery

During its annual Music Series, Lakeridge Winery features
live bands on the outdoor stage, every Saturday afternoon of the month in
January. The event will feature Lakeridge wine, beer, and a variety of food for
purchase, along with complimentary Winery tours and tastings.

In Mount Dora, the Renniger’s Antique Extravaganza is held
every few months. The event is Florida’s largest antique show, and it will have
over 800 booths both indoors and outdoors, with dealers from throughout the U.S.
setting up for the show.

The third weekend in January is home to the Scottish
Highland Games. The two day event includes Scottish traditions such as archery,
highland dance, traditional sheep herding by border collies, piping &
drumming, and even the new tradition of Quidditch! The event will also include
live music, whisky tasting, a shortbread & scones baking contest, and more.
